We’ve been busy!

It’s been a busy year for us with lots of projects getting started, progressing on site or nearing completion.

We’ve really enjoyed working on all of these projects and collaborating with our clients and their design teams.

Here’s a quick overview of what we’ve been up to:

Den Bank Drive, Sheffield

All the significant works are complete on this tricky extension on a steeply sloping site in Sheffield are complete – including some really challenging ground works.

We’re really pleased with how the structural design has really opened up the spaces internally.

Brookland’s Crescent, Sheffield

This simple, zinc clad dormer is looking stunning. As well as designing the structure for this we’ve also helped our client to open up the void above their stairs to create a fantastic feature which they’re planning to fill with planting.

Grove House, Oakham

This small but perfectly formed extension is now complete. It’s been angled to better connect the house to the garden and the clients are really pleased with the results.

The recessed timber looks simple and elegant but required us to work closely with the architects to get it all detailed properly.

Footgate Close, Sheffield

What a difference opening up a roof void makes! Our clients are absolutely thrilled with the transformation of their dated 60s semi, especially this hallway.

The project is due to be certified to the rigorous Passivhaus EnerPHit standard. This meant we had to really consider the thermal implications and energy performance of our structural design.

Orchard House, Brattleby

This new build home in rural Lincolnshire is on site. The timber frame went up at the start of 2020 and the contractor has been doing his best to progress things during lockdown.

Our clients are really pleased with the lofty, double height spaces we’ve helped the architects to create.
